3-ACT Structure
Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3 are part of the 3-ACT structure which is setup, confrontation, and resolution. Each step is very important because each section contains important components to writing a good story. It contains Rising and Falling action, 3 climaxes, each bigger than the last. This structure is very well known and used because it is effective at keeping the reader/viewer interested in the story by adding challenges and obstacles to the hero's path or adventure. And in ACT 2 having a plot twist that affects the characters and that comes to a surprise to the viewer.
